Automation Test Engineer
When applying for new jobs it goes without saying that you will read advert after advert and often find that it is heavily focussed on what you need to bring to the client. I am going to try and offer an even blend of what you need to be able to bring to my client but also what my client will bring to you.
We will start with the role and the client. This opportunity is with one of my longest standing clients and they are a leading name within their field. They have history dating back to over half a decade ago and focus on offering industry specific guidance to their clients, looking to employ experts across a number of fields. They also have a global footprint with teams across over 40 countries. This makes them one of the biggest IT consultancies in the world.
As an Automation Test Engineer you will report to your superior. While conducting your responsibilities you will be expected to take part throughout the whole development lifecycle including defining, developing and executing technical testing. Your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, producing Test Approaches using Automation as your core. From this you will have to produce Integration Automation Tests, data and scenarios. There are other responsibilities alongside these which are reflective of Automation roles.
Now, what can you bring to my client? Ideally, candidates will fulfil the following key criteria:
* Demonstrable experience of ensuring application quality through functional, performance and vulnerability analysis.
* Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Gherkin, Cucumber etc…
* Experience within Agile environments.
It goes without saying that in some cases people will not be able to fulfil the entire criteria. In these situations one should not worry due to the training that my client can offer you.
As far as what my client can bring to you is concerned you can expect the following:
* Career progression opportunities.
* Professional development opportunities.
* Industry leading training, including T shaped training opportunities.
* Generous expenses scheme, including £30 a day food and drink allowance on an Amex card.
Logistically, this is a UK wide position which requires flexibility within your travel expectations. However, where travel is required you can expect paid for travel and accommodation, if required. Obviously, salary is very important to many people so I will be very upfront with this. These range from £50000 through to £80000 and you have your expenses on top of this which can push your overall package up very generously.
So, if this has taken your interest do not hesitate to apply. Alternatively, we can arrange a call at a time convenient to you by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01914060301.
