This organisation is a UK leader in large scale digital solutions who are looking to hire Mid-level Automation Test Engineers. The roles are part of an enormous recruitment drive to expand a newly formed team under the Business Technology Solutions umbrella.
The roles involve UK-wide travel and will see you join an embedded engineering function tasked with helping customers evolve and innovate their testing landscape regardless of their maturity. In terms of customers, you will work on-site with enterprise customers to achieve their digital transformation. Not only will these projects include collaboration with other talented engineers, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Giving you the chance to have exposure to a broad arsenal of technology.
In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.
Selenium - Selenium has established itself as an extremely popular automation tool in recent years. My client works with an agile infrastructure and DevOps workflow, therefore experience with Selenium is beneficial. However if you have experience using HP-ALM , MS -TFS, Tosca, Worksoft or similar. Then I want to hear from you!
Experience in any programme Language - Due to the range of projects my client works on, experience in any programme would be essential. Programming Languages include C, C#, Java, Python.
Middleware and API's - Some of my clients work involves complex software applications, therefore experience using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI OR similar.
The roles are technically UK-wide. Goes without saying that all travel and hotel expenses are covered.
In terms of culture, you will struggle to find somewhere better. Year on year my client budgets £10,000-£15,000 per employee to cross train, up skill and attend conferences. You will be given the opportunity to work on them technologies you have been itching to implement.
They offer a base salary of up to £55,000 (DOE) as well as the opportunity to work remotely when not on-site. In addition 6% pension, health care and expenses
