Senior Full Stack Developer

In 2015 an idea evolved into a financial tech solution. The successful launch of the solution onto the market has sparked unprecedented growth within the last 4 years and as a result, we have partnered with this Glasgow based client in order to source an enthusiastic, passionate and talented individual to join their development team.

The Role

You will work on a big-data solution as part of an exciting yet established start-up, with just under 10 developers at the moment with new starters pending! This solution is used by large financial and insurance companies, and the features you will work on include secure document delivery systems, messaging platforms and a large-data CRM which is customised to each clients requirements.

Interested? Now comes for the fun part… the tech.

Technical Skills

This is a full stack developer position, and as a result we are looking for candidates with a diverse set of technical skills. Back end development is based on object orientated PHP, including frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgnitor. It is important that you are confident with PHP as well as at least one MVC framework. Now this is a full stack position, so let's talk about the front end tech requirements. It goes without saying that any development job requires a strong experience in HTML and CSS. Strong Javascript experience including framework experience is also near the top of the list, with an understanding of either Vue (preferred), Angular, React, Node or Redux.

The Desirables

Experience working (or leading teams) in an Agile environment is desirable, but not a requirement. This client believes that communication is key, and as a result working in an Agile environment is providing the existing team with results.

Great communication skills are so important in any job. This is particularly true with this company as an element of planning new developments, implementing your ideas and communicating with stakeholders is of huge importance in this role.

Career + Benefits

Financial technology is the future, and companies like our client recognise that the world of online spending and banking is changing every day. With huge growth opportunities and endless possibilities, this truly is a magnificent chance for you to join a growing player in the North West Fintech market and make your mark.
