They say that the average job seeker spends around 60 seconds reading a job ad before deciding whether to apply or not. So with that in mind, I wanted to avoid the usual 'War & Peace' content favoured by the majority of the recruitment space and instead craft something short and (hopefully) sweet...

One of the leading Insurance Organisations in the UK is looking to add to its digital development function by recruiting a skilled Front End Engineer with proven commercial experience developing in AngularJS. The organisation in question are well known, operating out of a number of UK offices with this role being based in their Bromley HQ. The role will see you work across a range of products, developing highly responsive and dynamic UIs as well as adding new features to a range of their customer-facing web applications.

You will be embedded within an Agile development team, working with both Scrum and Kanban frameworks and ensuring that Agile is promoted to both peers and company stakeholders. Moreover, you will be given genuine autonomy to bring ideas and suggestions to the table, focusing on R&D around both existing and emerging technologies whilst also acting as an SME for all things Angular-related.

In terms of their expectations of you, all you need to do in order to be shortlisted for this role is to demonstrate some (not all) of the following requirements:

* Proven commercial experience working with AngularJS (all versions are fine) and an understanding of responsive and dynamic web development.
* Experience working with additional JavaScript frameworks including React, Redux and Vue.
* In-depth knowledge of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, LESS, JQuery and Bootstrap.
* Understanding of both cross-browser compliance testing and accessibility testing.
* Proven commercial experience working in an Agile development environment.
* Experience working across the full SDLC including an understanding of various processes/methodologies including TDD, BDD and DevOps.

In return, you will benefit from a genuinely fantastic company culture including the opportunity to work in a collaborative team where shared learning is promoted. You will be given the opportunity to work from home a couple of days' per week as well as flexible working hours due to this organisation's commitment to creating a family-first culture. Finally, you will gain a range of benefits including a 9% employer contributory pension, 25 days holiday and a bonus.
