Automation is becoming increasingly integral to businesses, most notably for its time saving and high level of accuracy. Experts project the global Test Automation market to reach a value of £81 billion by 2025. Thus 2019 presents you with an opportunity, to gain the skills and experience to make you an in demand specialist.
I am currently working in partnership with a UK leader in the insurance sector, who are looking to hire Automation Test Engineers from a mid to senior level. The roles are part of an enormous recruitment drive to expand their digital function.
The role is based in Bromley and involves working in a fully Agile environment. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of QA engineering processes, frameworks and automation for designated scrum teams. Not only will these projects include collaboration with other talented engineers, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Giving you the chance to have exposure to a broad arsenal of technology.
In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.
Selenium - Selenium has established itself as an extremely popular automation tool in recent years. My client works with an agile infrastructure and DevOps workflow, therefore experience with Selenium is beneficial. However if you have experience using HP-ALM , MS -TFS, Tosca, Worksoft or similar. Then I want to hear from you!
BDD - My client is keen for collaboration between developers, QA and non-technical members of the team. Therefore BDD experience would be beneficial.
In terms of culture, you will struggle to find somewhere better. Year on year my client invests into training their employees from the latest and greatest tech to leadership skills. Importantly, this is available to all. Which gives you the chance to cross-train and work on them technologies you have been itching to implement.
In return you will receive a competitive salary (£55,000), 9% Pension, 35 hour working week, 2-3 days remote work.
