So with that in mind, I wanted to try and craft something short and (hopefully) sweet that might just grab your attention...

One of the most innovative Tech Start-Ups in the London area is looking to significantly bolster their senior leadership team by recruiting an experienced and driven Chief People Officer (CPO). The organisation themselves are the true definition of a 'technology disrupter', with their suite of products offering a new flavour to a competitive market. Their products are all developed in-house, using the latest cloud technologies with a talented team of Software Engineers using their expertise to ensure the solutions are both high-quality and scalable.

This role represents an excellent opportunity to come in and literally shape something from the ground up. You will be handed the keys, reporting directly into the CEO with a remit to bring in change and develop a a compelling people strategy that results in productivity. Your role will basically be the catalyst for said change and you will be critical to the success of the business moving forwards.

But enough about them, this ad is all about you... specifically, what you need to bring to the table:

Strategy & Planning - First and foremost, you must have a proven track record both defining and creating people strategies. This should include operating models supporting business growth, employee engagement strategies, company culture planning and recruitment strategies. Your role will basically head up their entire HR & People function so the creation of a robust and well-thought out strategy is crucial.

Stakeholder Management - Due to the nature of this business (i.e. a Tech-Start Up with less than 100 employees), your role will see you acting as something of an 'Internal Consultant', liaising with different parts of the business to understand where to make a difference. You should therefore have a proven track record engaging with key business stakeholders (up to C-level), with a natural ability to both influence and manage expectations.

Leadership & People Management - You must have a proven track record of leading successful teams within HR and Business Change functions. Your role will require you to 'know the people in the business', acting as a 'pulse' within the organisation with a remit including coaching existing leaders within the business. You should therefore be a skilled and adaptable People Manager with a flexible approach to employee engagement.

HR Management Background - Finally, you must have a comprehensive HR background including strategic partnering, policy implementation, talent acquisition, conflict resolution and organisational development.
